Blog 4

To me, the sections in the readings worked because it was like the writer was having a thoughtful, not a thought out, conversation with the reader. I cannot speak for anyone else, but my thoughts are never singularly focused. They are scattere all over the place but at the same time cohesive, just as in the writings. As I remenisce about one thing, it jars the memory of something else and so on and so on. The suthors give the impression that they just sat down and wrote instead of plotting what to say first.
As I am writing this, I am thinking maybe that's why I have such a problem transitioning from poetry to actually telling my story. I am trying too hard to edit my thoughts instead of just allowing them to flow onto the paper. Hmmm....
I am not sure what the topic of my essay will be yet. I'm still trying to psych myself up for the public self reveal. For me, that's going to be the hardest part of getting through this course.
